4) What are the scholarships/ bursary that is applicable for MBA?

We are offering bursary only to Special Consideration Countries.  In case you fall under Special Consideration countries, you should be eligible for the same. The bursary is approved after evaluation by the Bursary Committee.

5) What is the fee structure for different MBA programs?

We are glad you are interested to know about our MBA Programs. We have 5 types of MBA programs.

Pay per module means that you do not have to pay the entire amount at the beginning. You pay as you proceed with the modules of the program. Pay per month means you have to pay in monthly installments.

6) What is the mode of delivery of courses?

The classes for all courses will be 100% online with a flexible schedule and a personal tutor. You can complete the course at your own pace with the support of a personal tutor.

7) Which are the accreditations that you have in MBA?

We have 5 MBA programs, namely, MBA, IMBA, MBA in General Management (Fast Track) from GMU (Italy), and EMBA, EMBA- Business Analytics from UCAM, Spain.  GMU and UCAM are accredited by the Ministry of Education, Italy, and the Ministry of Education, Spain respectively.

8) What are the entry requirements for your programs?

The eligibility criteria for all MBA programs are as follows: 

  1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  2. English proficiency equal to IELTS 5.5 or equivalent in all bands or possess a Bachelor’s degree delivered and assessed in English, or proof of work experience in an English-speaking environment.
  3. Applicants without a bachelor’s degree will be considered on a case-by-case basis if they have relevant managerial experience of not less than 3 years. 

The eligibility criteria for the DBA program are as follows:

  1. Candidates must have an MBA or Master's degree or equivalent from recognized institutions.
  2. Candidates must have at least three years of work experience at the managerial level.
  3. Candidates must have a thorough command of written and spoken English. English level: 6.0 IELTS or equivalent.                         

However, we have different entry requirements for our Masters and professional certification courses.

9) What is the duration of IMBA?

Once you have registered for the IMBA, the maximum time allowed to complete the program is 24 months. If you are unable to complete the course within 24 months, you may apply for an extension of 12 months by paying a Course Extension fee of USD 500.00 ($500)

The minimum duration of the course is defined as 9 months though some exceptions apply.

10) Is there any program for working professionals?

All our programs are 100% online and can be taken up by working professionals. Also if you have some prior working experience, you will be exempted from certain modules which will reduce the duration of your course.

12) Is a person with an O level of education eligible for an MBA?

We are sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for our MBA programs. The eligibility criteria for MBA programs at Athena is a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. If you don't have a bachelor's degree,  you’ll need to provide evidence of 3 years (Minimum) of relevant managerial work experience, along with certificates of your highest diplomas/degrees/professional certifications and an updated resume. There are a lot of certification courses you can take to upgrade yourself with the desired skills.

13) What is AGE?

The full form of AGE is Athena Global Education, which is a subsidiary of Westford Education Group. Its academic programs comprise  Doctoral and Master Level Degrees and Diplomas from accredited universities and professional certification programs from reputed awarding bodies. All programs are online. 15) What is the time schedule for the online classes?

The time schedule for all our MBA courses:

Once you have registered for the program, the maximum time allowed to complete the program is 24 months. 16) Do you offer any free trial for the courses?

We do offer a 7-day  trial for almost all our courses and you can check out the same on our website. You can experience our unique learning module before you make a decision.

17)What is the fee payment plan for your courses?

We have a multitude of courses, Doctoral and Master level Degrees and Diplomas as well as professional certification programs. There is no uniform fee payment plan for the courses, that is, different courses have different payment processes. To give you a general idea, we have two modes of payment, pay per module and pay per month. Pay per module means that you do not have to pay the entire amount at the beginning. You pay as you proceed with the modules of the program. Pay per month means you have to pay in monthly installments.

18) Will I get the certificate in case if I drop out in the middle of the course?

If you want to exit in the middle of the program due to any unforeseen circumstances, you can still claim a Certificate/Diploma based on the credits you have earned so far.

19) What is CIQ?

Cambridge International Qualifications (CIQ) is a professional awarding organization incorporated in the UK and is a subsidiary of Westford Education Group which is into providing higher education to global learners since 2009. CIQ offers credit-rated programs under the Scottish Credit Qualification Framework (SCQF) through the credit rating agency Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) which enables the learner to attain UK regulated qualifications. Apart from the credit-rated programs, CIQ also offers stand-alone professional diplomas and certification programs which have been developed based on the current need of the industry. CIQ has also partnered with NCFE-UK (Northern Council for Further Education) and TQUK (Training Qualifications, UK) for joint certification for the courses developed by CIQ. 20) What are the admission criteria for the DBA program from UCAM?

The admission criteria for DBA program from UCAM is given below:

A- Candidates must have an MBA or Master's degree or equivalent from recognized institutions.
B- Candidates must have at least three years of work experience at the managerial level.
C- Candidates must have a thorough command of written and spoken English. English level: 6.0 IELTS or equivalent.

21) What is the admission process and documents required for DBA?

The application process is simple. You need to apply on our site and once the application is submitted, the Admissions Team will screen it to verify your eligibility for the program. If you are eligible, an interview will be scheduled for you with the Interview Panel of the program. The process will be conducted through telephone/skype/zoom for international candidates. The results will be released within one week of your interview. The following documents will be required for application:
1. Proof of having earned an MBA or Master’s Degree - such as a Degree Certificate. If the documents are not in English, official translations should be submitted.
2. The final transcript of MBA/Master’s Degree.
3. Proof of work experience of at least three years at the managerial level.
4. Certificate of English Level: 6.0 IELTS or equivalent.

22) Can I extend the research term in DBA? If yes, are there any fees for the extension?

Though the duration for research is 2 years, the learner can extend it for 1 more year by paying 1000.00 USD. An ambitious student can even complete the research in one year based on their schedule. 

23) What is SCQF?

SCQF or Scottish Qualifications Authority is the executive public body of the Scottish government responsible for accrediting educational awards and is accredited by the UK government to offer educational qualifications. Being one of the four partner national organizations in the Curriculum for Excellence, SQA designs and develops new qualifications and assessments and has created the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

24)How long can I use the trial period for GMU MBA and what can I access during the trial period?

The trial period of MBA from GMU is 7 days. Once you register for the course, you will have access to the learning resources of the first module (or “course” in the American system) where you can access the learning materials and the e-library. Your access to these learning resources will end after 7 days of registration and you will need to enroll in the program by paying the required fees.

26) How do I access the online live classes?

We have online video classes designed by our faculty. But we do not have any live classes. Once you become a student, you need to ask your personal tutor for live classes.

27) Do you provide learners' support?

We have a very strong learner support system. The Student Experience Officer (SEO) will be your first point of contact for all your administrative and support services. He will be in touch with you from Day One of your study to your graduation and ensure that you have a smooth journey throughout your learning. You will be able to post questions to the personal tutor anytime during your study using the ‘connect with Student Experience Officer’ option provided at your learning portal or e-mail to support@athena.edu.  You will be allocated a personal tutor for each module you have enrolled in.

36) Is your DBA program sanctioned by the Accreditation Board of Ghana?

The Doctorate of Business Administration degree is awarded by the Universidad Católica De Murcia (UCAM), Spain,  which is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Spain. The Accreditation Board of Ghana plays no role in this program.

37) When will the next batch of Fast Track MBA start?

You can take admission to any course and that includes Fast Track MBA anytime but the batch always starts on the 2nd of every month.

38) Is your DBA program recognized in Kenya?

The DBA program is internationally recognized and it is from the Universidad Catolica de Murcia which is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Spain. Please check if it is recognized in Kenya.

39) What are the eligibility criteria required for Guglielmo Marconi University's Masters program?

Learners wishing to be admitted to the Masters program should satisfy the following requirements
1. Possess a Bachelor's degree in any subject

Learners wishing to be admitted to the Executive-MBA program should satisfy the following requirements

2. If you are not a native speaker, you should have an appropriate English proficiency level, e.g. an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent in all bands or possess a Bachelor's degree delivered and assessed in English, or proof of work experience in an English-speaking environment.

41) What are the documents required for admission to the program?

All applicants are required to upload the following documents in order to be eligible for admissions:

42) How long can I use the free trial and what can I access during the trial period? What happens after the trial period?

Once you register for the course, you will have access to the learning resources of the first module (or "course" in the American system) where you can access the learning materials and the e-library. Your access to these learning resources will end after 7 days of registration and you will need to enroll in the program by paying fees for the first module. In order to be eligible for admission, you must upload all the eligibility-related documents on the learning portal and subsequently must have received an 'Offer of Admission letter.

43) How will I learn?

The core resources of the program are video classes and related reading material. Each module is divided into about 50 easy-to-assimilate videos to make your study easier. The video lessons provide you with adequate knowledge to understand the module content.

Apart from the video classes and reading material, you will be given access to live, interactive online classes where you will be able to attend a virtual classroom and communicate with instructors and your fellow students. This is an opportunity for students to clarify their doubts and get a clear understanding of how to work on the assigned project.

Additionally, you will also be learning from webinars, online libraries, and participating in the discussion boards, additional learning materials, and case studies curated by faculty.

44) Do you provide Student Support?

Yes, whenever a student joins, s/he will be assigned a Personal Tutor, whom the student can reach out for any academic assistance. For any non-academic assistance, students can reach out to the Student Experience Officer (see@athena.edu).

45) How do the Exams and Assessments work?

There are no written exams for this program. All the modules are assessed based on the module-specific project. Once you are enrolled in the module, you will be able to access the assignment brief under the 'Project Details' section in the learning portal. Apart from the assessment brief, you will be given the learning outcomes and performance criteria to know what is expected in the project from the learner. If you still have questions concerning the assignments, you can seek the support of the faculty during the live classes for the module. We are here to give you the help you need.

As soon as you are enrolled in a module, you will have 90 days to submit the assignment. However, submissions will be accepted from the 21st day of enrollment. You can choose to submit anytime during this 21-day to the 90-day timeline and immediately proceed to the next module. You can use this time to go through all the videos, read all the case studies and articles, and ask questions as you begin to write your assignment. Once submitted, you will not be able to make any changes.

After you have submitted the assignment, the faculty will evaluate and provide feedback, including results (your grade), within 21 days of your submission. If you fail, you will be given feedback on the assignment stating the reasons for failure. You will have to rework the project according to the feedback provided by the assessor. You will need to rework only the areas where you failed and not on the entire project. You will have to resubmit the assignment within 21 days of the publication of the result (grade). There are no additional fees for the resubmission.

If you fail to submit the assignment within 90 days of the enrollment date, you can request an extension of not more than 60 days and pay a fee of USD 100.00 ($100)

If you do not resubmit the failed assignment within 21 days of the published results, you may request an extension of not more than 60 days by paying USD 100.00 ($100)

If you fail again on your RE-submission, you may apply for a Re-Take by paying USD 150 ($100). You will have another 90 days of access to the resources and will need to submit the assignment within 90 days from the retake date. The process then restarts as mentioned above.

46) Dissertation Guidance and Process

Once you move to the dissertation (thesis) stage, you will be assigned a Dissertation guide who will support you through the Research and Dissertation project. The Guide normally has 4 meetings with the student: first, the proposal meeting, then the first review, third, a second review, and lastly, a final review.

A dissertation will have about 10,000 words. We will be conducting Dissertation guidance classes every month which you need to attend to get a clear understanding of dissertation work and what is expected out of your research. This is in addition to the Dissertation guide meetings. Once you submit the final dissertation, then you may be called for a "viva" to defend your dissertation depending on the decision of the assessor. The result will be published within 30 days of submission of the dissertation; if you fail the dissertation, then you will have an opportunity to resubmit the work as per the feedback provided by the assessor, and the corrected work should be submitted within 30 days of publishing the results.

If you fail on your resubmission, then you may have to pay the dissertation fee again and you will need to start over on a new project.

Once you have enrolled for the Dissertation, you need to submit the final work within 6 months of enrollment. In case of failure of submission, an extension fee will be applicable. The shortest time allocated to submit the dissertation is 90 days.

47) Will there be a Graduation Ceremony (GMU)?

Successful learners will be able to attend the annual graduation ceremony conducted in Italy. GMU will provide an invitation letter to all such learners which can be used for processing your visa for this purpose.
